Public transport:
The “tram 1” starts from “Nagyállomás” station and arrives at “Aquaticum” station; after that, it's a 350m walk to the entrance of the Zoo.

“BUS 10” starts from “Nagyállomás” station and arrives at “University” station; after that, it's a 140m walk to the entrance of the Zoo.

Parking:
There are 2 streets around the zoo with public parking places: approximately 600 spots, and an underground garage in front of the Zoo entrance with 200 spots.

Can I pay for my ticket with a currency other than HUF?

We accept cash payments only in HUF. Card payment can be made in any currency - it will be billed according to your bank's price list.

Can a ticket be purchased in advance and how long does it remain valid?

A single ticket can be purchased in advance. It is valid on the day of the visit, until it is punched. When buying a ticket at the ticket office, remember that prices depend on the date of your visit, so tell the cashier when you want to visit us.

How long is a ticket purchased online valid?

A single ticket is valid on the day of the selected tour date until it is punched. An unlimited ticket is valid for the entire duration of the exhibition.

Can I buy group tickets?

We do not sell group tickets.

IMPROVEMENTS

Is there parking in the area?

The Nagyerdei Kultúrpark does not have its own parking. You can park on the street. There are 2 streets around the zoo with public parking places: approximately 600 spots. We recommend the following parking options for visitors arriving by car: Oláh Gábor Street parking (free), Northern side of Nagyerdei körút, near the Stadium (free), Ady Endre Road parking (paid on weekdays between 8:00 and 18:00, Saturdays 8:00–14:00, free on Sundays and holidays), Pallagi Road parking (paid on weekdays between 8:00 and 18:00, Saturdays 8:00–14:00, free on Sundays and holidays), Nagyerdei underground garage in front of the Zoo entrance (200 spots, paid).

Can I bring my own food and drink into Garden of Lights?

During the exhibition period, every week from Friday to Sunday, as well as during the autumn and winter school breaks (2024.10.26-2024.11.03 and 2024.12.21-2025.01.05), our visitors can buy locally made hot tea and mulled wine, as well as hot dogs and langalos in the park's catering unit. Apart from the periods listed above, we provide our visitors with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and snack products from drink and snack machines. You are not allowed to bring your own food to the exhibition area and there is a total ban on smoking tobacco products and electronic cigarettes. We only accept payments in HUF currency at catering outlets. We also accept contactless payments.
